They Are Killing The Roses!

Which words can I describe this video? painful; sad; tyranny, destruction?
Who should we blame about this horrible abuses to our Iraqies women?
Who is responsible about this crime?
Is this the " new Iraq"?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/video/2010/08/28/2996081.htm

Who should we accuse about this humanity's crime? some people would say this is what America's brought for Iraq! But, let us be realistic, why we should always blame the whole world while WE (middle-eastern people) are doing the mistakes by own hands!

I have always a reaction from Arab world & no one can blame me for that, you can see from a side the man controlling the woman & abuses her, practicing the violent on her & from other side he wants from her to satisfy his "dirty desire" & "dirty pleasure"!

Here the government should take an important role to protect women & support women by giving them their rights & with NGO would aid women so they can feel they are protected & not alone in this wild & barbarian world.

Then don't get me wrong I'm not saying that western world is perfect, actually no one is perfect & the west is not a paradise, BUT the difference between west & east, even dogs & cats have rights too in west, & everyone is responsible for his choices, while our women are treated like animals!

At the end I want to say that women aren't weak, women aren't cheap, women is the source of nations...

Hello Freedom,
First the date palms started to disappear, now the roses are gone. It's a regular ecological disaster in Iraq. ))

Okay, not those type of roses and an interesting metaphor you used, but it is not just Iraq's young women being affected:

IRAQ: Focus on boys trapped in commercial sex trade

And like in Pakistan and Afghanistan and other Islamic countries, Iraqi women are being attacked with acid for not being modest enough:

IRAQ: Acid attacks on "immodest" women on the rise

I remember reading about the issue of Iraqi women being forced into prostitution a few years back:

'50,000 Iraqi refugees' forced into prostitution

It seems a combination of factors as to why women are being so exploited: societal breakdown, refugees in a foreign land, lack of jobs, treatment of women in the Middle East, absence of male family members, men's attitudes to women in the Middle East, etc.

Of course, it is much better for women in the West, although as you rightly say, it is not a paradise here, but thanks to our non-Sharia law Constitution and Judaeo-Christian heritage, there is certainly more of a respect for the rights of women and minorities, than in the East.

It doesn't mean we haven't had our dark periods in the past, such as slavery, but of course, slavery was also practiced and at a much greater rate in the Islamic-Arab world, including a 1 million-plus slave trade of women, kidnapped from places like the Caucuses and the nation of Georgia and bought by the Arabs to the Middle East.

Hello Mister Ghost,

Well, this video made me sad & anger, & yes, I agree with you, this issue related to many reasons, as you said (societal breakdown, refugees in a foreign land,....), But the sad thing here that government is out of this matter & no one talks about it, even this was from abc even not not Iraqi one, that's what make me frustrated too!

With these links too,...who is responsible from this???

Hello Freedom,
I hope you and WEVA are doing well.
No matter the difficulties, keep a good heart. )))

Well, who is responsible. Well, the people exploiting the women and boys for profit - we call them Pimps here in the US - they are the most responsible.

Then the governments of Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries for allowing such criminal behavior to go unpunished and ignoring the crimes. And some of the officials in these countries obviously receive baksheesh for turning a blind eye to the situation or may be running the prostitution rings themselves.

And then those who engage in illicit relations with women and boys. And the unfortunate aftermath of the Iraq War.

And then finally evolution. ))) Men are polygamous by nature - it's built into our genes to be with as many women as possible, whereas women are serial polyandrist - they want to be with only the top, successful men, who have achieved something in life, because those men can better provide for the woman and her future offspring. )))

Hello Mister Ghost,

Wow, life is crazy!, I'm sorry I didn't reply your comment, I got very busy then sick with this changing weather...

You are right about who is responsible.

It is true, I can't argue with that:)
