Dark Tunnel Has No Spot Light!

Excuse me people, I'm going to talk with strong words about women's issues.

I realized that violent is not only coming from men but also coming from women themselves like mother to her daughter , or sister to her sister..but the worse one is that coming from the other gender (male), the problem here in our community especially in those closed-minded societies; that woman is a piece of furniture & if she will ask for her rights they would be judge her as a bad person, that she wouldn't obey to manly societies!!!
For me I can't just obey one's orders without discussion issues, I can't accept injustice but, there are women  accepting that or they are afraid from the men, the culture used to teach us to be afraid from this & that & (female ) should say "Yes", I'm not saying that women should be stubborn & seeking for problems, NO; But the open dialogue is healthy way to solve issues with open-mind, flexible options.

When I talked to women who are just agreed with this "unfair" society; I asked them " Are you contented with this situation, with this ignoring, being second & obey men with bland eyes???"

They answered me with this words " We are living here, in middle-east, we aren't living in west countries", " this is our traditions, & if we don't be like that, the community will scratch our reputation"

I can't change their thinking way, It is like drilling on the stone!

I 'm wondering till when our women will stay thinking like that? till when we will wait the answer for our rights from men? till when we will say "Yes" & we don't have right to say "No"?
Till when we will be smashed?

I don't want to be pessimistic but it will be far away as the sky far away from the earth as long as we have people with close-minded, narrow mentality, violent with different shapes, abuses & now it is going inside the females themselves.

In Christianity is little better than Muslims's community here (in middle-east) but I must admit, we all are living in one circle under society's mercy & odd traditions's laws.

What is in people's mind,it is in their minds & I can't changing it even after 20 years.

My sorrow for our women, my sorrow for our rights here, my sorrow for our future here.
Women will stay second after men for years here & I don't see a spot light in this dark tunnel!

Hello Freedom and WEVA too,
How are you two doing?
You have written a very good post, but in the end, the only change that may await you and other Iraqi women may be in your location. American saying: They voted with their feet. )))

Well, I found a historical anecdote about Iraqi women - it's from the famous Greek historian Herodotus:

During the time of the Babylonians, women were auctioned off for marriage: All the "young women of marriageable age were brought to the central market place. The attractive girls naturally commanded high prices, and the money raised from their sale was put toward dowries for the homely ones (with the ugliest receiving the largest endowment). There was only one concession to romance: If either party was dissatisfied with the transaction, the monies were refunded to the general pool and the marriage annulled."

Well, have things really improved for the modern Iraqi woman?

Dear two :)
Believe it or not ! women in middle east will never say no to man , even in the other life ..
It's society admitted to the mannish power !
Nothing will change , but few men who understand and believe there is some creature deserves to have full rights .. and some brave women who dare to say we have rights !
Me myself as I said once .. I don't believe in equivalence and equality between women and men !
I see each one of them has nature and can do something!
We don't have to work in the all fields they work in just to show we have rights !
God Has created us different !
We are the soft gender, the meaning of life!...the source of life...
even if we(women)have been created originally from Adam's ribs .. but that rib was between 4th and the 6th and those ones are the protector of the heart !
the heart of humanity !
God created us to full fill life with our soft touch , to outline it with beauty ...
prophet Mohammed respected woman and gave her full rights as Allah said and showed in Qur'an..
Jesus too, He respected the participation of the women in building a properer , better life . so we are not that different in respecting woman and giving her rights!
The error is in the human , dear... not in heaven's canon !

Thanks for listening and I apologize for speaking a lot :)

Hello Mister Ghost,

We are doing well, thank you for asking, well, we are trying to tell the reality & the truth as much as we can, & this is our point of view.

That was an interesting story, I haven't heard about things like that! & thank GOD we don't have these stuff now:) but the improvement, I can tell if you are measuring women at 1940 & 2010 of course there is some improvement, we can say about 40-50% but, it is going very slowly, but this scale would be different between 1960-1970 because women had lived her golden period at that time.
Well, wars, embargo & the extremist religious groups had destroyed women as an individual person in Iraq.

Hello Violet,

Good to hear from you dear.
You are welcome of course, anytime on any post!
You didn't talk alot, we glad that you are sharing your point of view, we respect it always but, I would disagree with you :)

Because women can do any work now just like the man, they are taking jobs from police officer to soldier to astronaut even a body builder player (I know this might be weird to us as eastern women) & the list go on, but my point here is women are taking any job in the world now, so, why she is under society's mercy or men's mercy, while she has abilities to do more & to prove herself as individual person & can involved in communities, & if we are comparing her with the man, yes they are different in their compositions but GOD has gave them both mind, so if we are going to compare between them then we should compare their minds because that is what matters in my opinion, rights are not related to our bodies but they are supporting women to live better ...

At the end this is my point of view & I understand yours...

We are looking forward to read more from your comments.
