Well, welcome to your comment...Hello Mister Ghost,

Well, welcome to your comments anytime on any post...

Obviously I will understand that once I will be in west one day.

Yes, I'm living such restricted life, mixture cultura's concepts, I don't know if it's me only, or Iraq led me to this composition, sometimes I feel I'm in the middle from east & west, Or because of my education, my dreams & ambition,I don't know, anyway.

Israel is another case, it is part of west not east I think though they have religious in strong way but never like Saudi Arabia, it is completely different!

That's what I hate "bargain" in marriage; marriage is never & not be like that, & in Christians's families trying to deal with marriage like bargain, Well, some not all of them, maybe because we are minority & our families seeking for perfect marriage & perfect bride + groom!

Well, If a woman wears something beautiful & decent in the same time, people & culture hardly accept it, how she can lives in her own place alone????

I think this phrase is perfect here:
It will happen, "When pigs fly"!!!!!Freedomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07670124352102421615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7227147069114400231.post-60561683890996261782010-09-14T02:25:25.258-07:002010-09-14T02:25:25.258-07:00Hello Freedom,
I am going to comment on everything...Hello Freedom,
I am going to comment on everything here, since this seems to be the latest post:

It is always better to be independent than dependent and to have more freedom than less.

You live such restricted lives compared to the women of the west. You will only come to understand this fully, when you are finally in the west. )))

You (as in the women of Iraq) could compromise in your lifestyles - live on your own or with a roommate, but at the same time visit your parents frequently and have them visit you.

It would certainly open up the opportunity for romance and for Iraqi women to interact with
men. )))

Not that any of this will happen anytime soon in Iraq or other parts of the Middle East. )))

The exception is Israel where women can lead fully independent lives and live alone, but LOL, you have the other extreme, Saudi Arabia, where women are hidden away behind their abbayas and aren't even allowed to drive a car.

An interesting thing I read about the Saudis and dating is men will put their info on yellow sticky pads and sticky it to the woman's abbaya. LOL. And of course text messaging each other is popular.

For Iraqi Christian women seeking a companion, well it is a very bad situation. The pool of prospects is shrinking rapidly with so many Christians exiting from Iraq and generally Christians (and others) in the Middle East marry within their own sect and religion. So, options are limited and frankly, Eastern Men aren't any bargain. )))

In other parts of the Eastern World, women have looked westward for mates. In Russia for instance, with 10 million more women than men, marriage and international dating services are extremely popular. One site, Brides.ru is the second most visited website in all of Russia.

_______________________

Well, I was glad you could visit Erbil and had a nice time, if only to experience some quiet and serenity for awhile. Somehow, I seem to run across all the bad things about Kurdistan including
persecution of journalists and widespread FGM in the villages there. But, it is still light years ahead of Iraq. )))Mister Ghosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13204153704955521830noreply@blogger.com
